Kualoa Ranch Wedding at Paliku Gardens
This Kualoa Ranch wedding at Paliku Gardens was the most perfect day for the Dinh’s Hawaii Destination wedding. They started the morning, getting ready with their separate wedding parties. Then Alyssa, Joseph and I met at a beautiful and serene location at Kualoa Ranch for their first look. They said private vows to eachother and we got to shoot some wedding portraits around the property before the ceremony.
It was time for the ceremony and for their Kualoa Ranch Wedding they chose Paliku gardens. If you are having a Kualoa Ranch Wedding, there are several options of venue sites on the property. Each one is so unique and beautiful but, Paliku Gardens is one of my favorites. Their ceremony was so sweet and beautiful with the views overlooking Chinaman’s hat. After some more photos with family and friends, we headed over to the reception area! They had the best time with all their family and friends finally getting to celebrate their wedding. One of my favorite moments was when Joseph & his groomsmen surprised Alyssa with a choreographed dance, it was so much fun & the perfect ending to their special day.

Their Love Story – Alyssa & Joseph
Alyssa & Joseph are such special clients of mine. We’ve connected since 2019 3 years ago. This couple came to me 3 years ago and wanted to celebrate their anniversary with photos. I felt honored because they are also a photo + video team. So anytime another photographer hires me it’s always a huge honor for me. I showed up to take their anniversary photos and Joseph surprised Alyssa, got down on one knee, and proposed right in front of me! I was in complete SHOCK and utterly so happy for them!
After documenting their engagement happening right in front of my eyes and Joseph proposed and was so nervous yet excited about what to say to ask for her hand in marriage. Just 1 year later they asked me to be their wedding photographer on the same date: July 4th, 2020. Sadly, covid happened and they couldn’t have their dream wedding.
Postponements for 2 years and July 4th, 2022 was the new and official date they were married and got to celebrate their love coming full circle! The journey we’ve been on for the past 3 years together: from anniversary photos, turned into engagements, wedding day photos 3 years later and a honeymoon trash the dress sesh shortly after to top it all off!
I’m so grateful for the journey they’ve shared with me and for allowing me to document one of the biggest moments of their lives time and time again.
