Lauren and John are the absolute sweetest couple and couldn’t thank them enough for having me be a third wheel their entire Wedding Day! Lauren and John have been together for 6.5 years and met in college! They fell in love because of the shared love they had for the ocean and surfing. He is from American Samoa and Lauren is from Waialua, Hawaii.

To top it off, they got engaged on the North Shore right in front of their favorite surf spot and are now getting married in that exact location!!! They have had 3 years of long distance while Lauren was studying to become a doctor in medical school in Indianapolis and John just finished his degree on engineering at UH Manoa! John and Lauren love traveling and love the ocean. Their dream day was having a small intimate backyard Wedding at a friend’s beach front property in Waialua and have intertwined the Samoan culture into their special day!!!

I am so grateful to have witnessed it all and capture this BIG LIFE MOMENT! It has been years in the making and to finally make it official with very close friends & family witnessing was the most special thing! I cannot get over the tropical vibes they incorporated into their decor, as well as a photograph honoring John’s late mother and the special memories that were shared as the sun was setting behind them.
