Lauren & Ryan are the BEST freaking couple ever!!!

Backstory: Lauren spent her childhood on Oahu, Hawaii then moved to Washington D.C. After moving in to her new house, her next door neighbor was really good friends with Ryan! They met only after 2 weeks of being a new foreign place and started dating!

How they met:

I loved hearing their love story from high school and all their cringy screenshot messages they saved 😉 Lauren and Ryan have now been together for 5 years and decided to take a trip to Oahu where Lauren grew up!

I had the honor of photographing their love story! Lauren had reached out and wanted to capture this moment in their life, explaining that their a very playful couple and down for ANYTHING.

As of today:

They were down to sneak past the lifeguards when we weren’t allowed to get close to the water, they frolicked on the beach and cuddled eachother even after getting smashed by the waves!!!

I’ve never laughed so hard in my life and have loved a session so much from beginning to start. Thank you to Lauren & Ryan for spending the BEST NIGHT WITH ME!

“Anela’s direction and guidance was super natural and comfortable, never forced. Me and Ry were talking the whole drive back about how we didn’t realize how much fun we could have during a photoshoot!! It felt like we just got an hour to cuddle and play like kids again. One of our favorite memories was probably watching her run from the waves and laughing with her about it afterwards – she really did do everything to get the perfect shot!!

Anela was very professional yet super comfortable and uplifting to talk to!! I felt like we were already friends when we got to the shoot and we had some great conversation! It just made the whole process a lot more fun, and we can’t wait to go back to the island to do it again! The photographs turned out absolutely STUNNING. They are going to be memories we cherish forever!!! It was completely worth the expense and I would also love to have another session once we move back to the island!! I truly don’t think we could have gotten the same experience or photographs with anyone else!!”
