COVID WEDDING TO END OFF 2020

Nothing would end off 2020 better than a Covid style drive-thru wedding!! This year has been a crazy one for everyone and these two were no exception. Megan + Makana truly experienced the true meaning of a covid wedding! After getting engaged in April (peak pandemic times), they still did not expect this whirlwind of planning for their big day! Their wedding was postponed 4 different times, their venue was changed just a month before their wedding day, all while trying to keep everyone’s health/safety in mind, and the State’s Rules & Regulations…was a lot!

With every single thing going wrong, by a MIRACLE they still had their dream day, and even better than they anticipated!!! This unwavering couple pivoted in every single way possible to make it happen and that is what I love the most! These changes that they had to overcome forced them to get creative with the cards they were dealt and resulted in the most epic Covid wedding day!

They met at a Starbucks drive-thru so it was only fitting that they had a drive-thru RECEPTION! Every single detail was meticulously thought out and planned. They started the day with an intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends, which turned out to be so special. They set up Zoom speeches & toasts to celebrate with the people who could not attend. During their reception at night, they danced under the string lights outside of the venue while friends and family watched from a distance. As guests drove through to congratulate the newlyweds, they passed out the sweetest goodie bags and made sure everyone was incorporated into their day!!

This couple went ABOVE & BEYOND for others to celebrate with them no matter how far away they were! They SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT to say the very least! I’ve never seen a more dedicated couple to have their special day despite the odds and not to mention doing the absolute MOST for every SINGLE person around them, making them feel SPECIAL! I am so grateful that I was able to capture these moments that they will truly never forget.

TESTIMONIAL:
“100/100 WOULD RECOMMEND!
As soon as my fiance and I got engaged, I knew that Anela had to be our wedding photographer no matter what! Her aesthetic is absolutely stunning and when we had a couple’s session with her previously, she made us feel very comfortable. That is so important to me because my now-husband isn’t a huge fan of pictures so the fact that she was able to make him feel comfortable and capture genuine laughs/smiles – that’s a huge relief to me!

I am so impatient and wanted to decorate my house with canvases ASAP haha! Her assistant second shooter was also very helpful and caught some hilarious moments on our big day.

With all the uncertainty that came with 2020, I am so thankful for Anela and all that she did for us. With 4 postponed dates, a Zoom wedding ceremony with limited family in-person, and a drive-through reception – I wasn’t sure if our wedding day would be as special or sentimental as I wanted to be and I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to capture the timeless photos we wanted as well. But Anela literally blew us out of the water and was the greatest server to us. She captured all the beautiful and intimate moments of that day and we will certainly cherish these photos forever! She took care of us from start to finish and we are so appreciative of everything she did for our family!”
