This Intimate Hawaii Wedding was straight out of a movie.
This backyard elopement was the perfect way to celebrate Alyssa & Kegan’s love in front of their family!
Two thirteen year olds that fell in love in high school and 7 years later married by the age of 21! What an AMAZING story to tell over & over again.
Alyssa wrote to me saying, “We are junior high sweethearts which means we pretty much grew up together. This February we celebrated our seven year anniversary together. We have been there for each other through all of life’s significant milestones. I cheered him on through all his football games, watched him doze off in class, he taught me how to drive, went to every dance together, and the list goes on and on.
We are both actually from the same small town where we grew up side by side but without actually knowing who the other was. We both moved to the city three hours away from the town at different periods in our lives. Our parents went to high school together and they later recognized each other at one of our school events which led to our meeting.”
“Recently, we moved back to that small town. We are learning we knew each other more than we thought when we were little but neither of us has any memory of it.
Almost two years ago, the summer after graduation he took me on a trip to the beach in San Diego, CA. This is one of my happy places and there in the sand he asked me to marry him. Everyone saw it coming but it was hands down one of the most magical moments in my life.”
A Dream Backyard Elopement – Intimate Hawaii Wedding
She told me how he asked her to marry him on the beach. They wanted to get married on the beach near the sand and we made that happen! A backyard Elopement in Oahu gave them those ocean views for the ceremony & bridals on the beach! Everything that they wanted for their day. An Intimate Hawaii Wedding like this one, are some of my favorite days ever.
Alyssa & Kegan reminded me so much of the Notebook and just how madly they are in love with each other! Funny enough, I commented that. Her last sentence of her vows was taken straight out of the Notebook because it is their fav love movie. WOW! I just about cried!
This story I could re-live & never stop SWOONING over! They deserve the absolute best and so honored I got to be a small part in telling & capturing their epic love story!
